The Seashore : Diveagar is blessed with a beautiful beach that is 4 kms long. Along with the waves and the views one can also spot starfish and crabs by the golden sands.
The Suvarna Ganesh Temple : The temple considered an extremely holy place contains a sculpture made of pure gold which is 300 to 400 years ancient. It is said that this sculpture was created to mask some Lord Ganesh stone idol, which was earlier in the temple. A must visit one of its kind places.
The Sunder Narayan Temple : Also known as Rupnarayan temple, was believed to be built in the thirteen century, under the rule of King Shilahar.
Being a popular tourist destination Diveagar is a host to a number of hotels and beach resorts as well as homestays that give you easy access to the beach. There are also a number of restraunts that offer delicious Konkani seafood. Since it is a town it is equipped with all the basic facilities such as a hospital, post office and other sups providing daily necessities.

Divegar is a must visit especially if you love the sea and the seafood because this place offers the best of both. One can also visit Murud Janjira from here which is not located very far away.
I visited diveagar on a a long weekend. It is a perfect place to spend a lazy day on the beach with your loved ones. Though packed with tourists on popular holidays an off season visit offers a peaceful stay amidst beautiful surroundings.
